Practical guide to architectural modelling features over 60 worked examples
‘Practical Architectural Modelling with Autodesk Revit’, is a new book co-authored by Nigel Davies, Joseph Frame and Daniel Heselwood of the UK’s Evolve Consultancy.
The authors claim the book contains everything you need to become quickly productive with Autodesk Revit and acknowledge that opening Revit for the first time can seem daunting, and learning without experienced guidance can lead to key concepts being easily missed.
The new book is targeted to help users understand the required skills and the principal tools needed to be immediately productive on a building project.
There are over 60 ‘easy-to-follow’ exercises, covering all the critical aspects of modelling with Revit fundamentals, follow the simple steps, illustrated with full colour images at a pace that suits the reader.
Nigel Davies said of the book, “We’ve tried to avoid the usual reference manual approach of many self-learning books. Rather than cover every tool, every setting – many of which you’ll rarely need – we have built a series of practical exercises that take you through the creation of key aspects of a well-known architectural project to bring you up to speed as quickly as possible.”
This tried & tested practical approach, concentrating on real-world usage, modelling in a familiar environment to generate actual usable details, makes this book an essential guide for novices working with Revit for the first time and to compliment any formal training or on-the-job experience for more advanced users.
Practical Architectural Modelling with Autodesk Revit is available in print and Kindle versions through Amazon now, between £19 and £35.
